WRITING
Writing has always been at the core of Daniel Ruczko’s creative work. Everything starts with an idea—and the moment you write it down, it becomes something real. That’s how stories unfold, products come to life, and entire worlds are built.
From early short stories and scripts to novels, hollywood screenplays, and daily commercial work, Daniel’s writing spans formats, tones, and industries. He knows how to get a message across—sharp, clear, and in the right voice.
As a copywriter, he works with global brands and tech companies on brand messaging, product copy, campaign scripts, blog posts, articles, and educational content. Being able to write in English and German. He’s just as comfortable building an entire brand voice as he is writing a tagline that cuts through the noise.
Outside of commercial work, Daniel has written countless screenplays for short films and feature films—earning multiple international awards. In 2023, he published his first novel, Pieces of a Broken Mind, followed by the German edition Scherben einer zerbrochenen Seele in 2025. His next novel, Purgatory, drops in June 2025. He’s also been hired as a ghostwriter for film projects.
Five words or fifty thousand—Daniel writes to make people feel, act, or think. That’s the whole point.

“…Ruczko's debut novel proves to be at the same time viscerally frightening, hysterically funny, and heartbreakingly sad. Like watching a car accident in slow motion, you simply can't look away.”

SYNOPSIS: Pieces of a Broken Mind is the raw and honest portrayal of Richard Bryght, a struggling Seattle writer with dreams too big for a single lifetime-navigating love, loss, and the pursuit of artistic fulfillment. Haunted by a past relationship and his mother's mental decline into Alzheimer's. Then, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity arises-to turn his self-published book into a movie. Richard embarks on a transformative leap of faith, with his best friend Danny by his side and his mother's blessings, leaving Seattle behind to move to the City of Angels and chase his dreams.
This gritty story takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride through the highs and lows of fame and the creative process in a new city filled with distractions. Through Richard's eyes, we experience a broken and beautiful world where contradictions and paradoxes intertwine.
As Richard struggles with the pressures of success and battles his inner demons-he finds himself lost in a sea of self-destruction, searching for solace in drugs and casual relationships with adult film stars.
Beyond being a captivating story, Pieces of a Broken Mind serves as a love letter to Los Angeles, the pursuit of dreams, the written word, and the resilience to never give up. It's a reminder that no matter how broken we may feel, we all have the ability to pick up the pieces and create something beautiful.
