MUSIC PRODUCTION

Rusher at the Eatbrain night in Budapest

Daniel Ruczko, known in the music world as Rusher, has been producing music since the age of 12—starting out on Amiga computers with Hardcore Techno and Gabba. That early exposure to raw, intense sound left a permanent mark, shaping his love for dark, cinematic, and emotionally charged music that still defines his work today.

In 1999, he transitioned into Drum & Bass, where he remains an active force. Known for his precision-driven, atmospheric production, Rusher has released tracks on labels like Eatbrain, Barcode, Citrus, and Bass Rabbit. As a DJ, he’s played hundreds of shows across the globe—from clubs to festivals and even VR events—bringing his signature energy to every set. Over the years, Daniel has collaborated with respected names like Skibadee, Tonn Piper, and Jade (founder of Eatbrain), and has been remixed by artists such as Agressor Bunx, AKOV, Zombie Cats, Disprove, and more. He also handles the mixing and mastering of his own music as well as for other artists and labels.

In 2024, he launched DISRUPT Recordings, his own drum & bass label, and released Harmonic Dissonance—his first full-length D&B album, despite decades in the scene. The release was supported by top-tier artists from across the global drum & bass community, with tracks featured on Noisia’s Vision Radio and played at major festivals like Let It Roll.

Alongside drum & bass, Daniel has been producing hip-hop since the early 2000s—working with underground rappers from the US and Germany, including Apathy, Chino XL, CR7Z, and DJ Stylewarz. Through his label Misfit Music, he’s released a steady stream of full-length hip-hop albums, collaborating closely with his longtime partners Kayohes, V3RB, and Steez.

Daniel also completed formal training as a film composer in Hamburg, expanding his scope into cinematic scoring. Since then, he’s composed music and sound for films, video games, and sync projects, bringing narrative depth into every sonic detail.

With 10+ albums and countless singles across genres and labels, Daniel’s rich discography continues to grow—driven by decades of dedication, experimentation, and a deep love for sound.
